About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work on pre-development and development projects in the field of electrical drives
- Plan development tasks in coordination with the project team
- Requirements engineering in accordance with aviation development processes
- Sizing, simulation and documentation of complex electrical drive systems
- Independent commissioning and optimization of electrical drive systems, including documentation
- Support projects while considering cost and schedule constraints
- Close technical coordination with electronic hardware manufacturers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Engineering, Embedded Systems, Drive Technology, Aerospace Engineering or a comparable qualification
- Solid experience with simulation tools, ideally MATLAB/Simulink
- Experience with requirements management tools
- Experience in international development projects
- Good to very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Strong team and communication skills
- Preferably experience in commissioning, instrumentation, fault analysis and debugging
- Experience with complex COTS components (Commercial Off-The-Shelf), e.g., microcontrollers (µC), microprocessors (µP), DSPs, PLDs or FPGAs
- Knowledge of standards-compliant development processes in the aerospace industry
