About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Development and design of our system solutions in the field of radio surveillance (COMINT, C-ESM, C-ECM) using advanced CAD programs (e.g., SolidWorks)
- Design of digital models for new mechanical components and preparation of system-specific schematics for our products
- Support for concept development, component selection, supplier management, prototyping, standards-compliant design, and transfer to production
- Independent communication with suppliers and monitoring of project-specific deliverables
- Continuous expansion of model libraries in the CAD system SolidWorks and Teamcenter PLM
- Close coordination with other specialist groups during the integration process, including recording, evaluating and implementing change requests
- International collaboration with experts from other Saab locations
- Commissioning, maintenance and repair at customer facilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed vocational training as a mechatronics technician or a completed technical degree, preferably in mechatronics or a comparable qualification
- Practical experience in concept development and specification for mechanical and electrical systems, ideally for complex systems for data acquisition, processing and analysis
- Experience with CAD programs (e.g., SolidWorks) and PLM solutions (e.g., Teamcenter)
- Solid knowledge of materials science, mechanical engineering and manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of electrical standards and installation as well as mechanical standards and design
