Mental Health Therapist

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide ethical and culturally-sensitive mental health counseling
- Diagnose and create individualized treatment plans
- Manage patient intakes, treatment plans, and progress notes
- Offer psychoeducation about relapse prevention, treatment processes, and behaviors
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals (psychiatric nurse practitioners, social services)
- Engage in regular supervision with the clinical supervisor
- Provide crisis intervention and make necessary referrals to social services or other treatment programs
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including intakes, weekly progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries
- Facilitate disposition planning and medication compliance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field (Required)
- Maryland LMSW/LCSW/LCPC License/Certification (Required)
- 6+ months in a clinical setting (Preferred)
- Workdays: Monday to Friday
- Flexible schedule: Choose your own hours
- Ability to Commute: Baltimore, MD 21201
