About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Effective leadership in a matrix organization
  • Initiation, Planning, Executing, and Closing Projects defining the project WBS, Cost Baseline and OBS structure, initiating the project, building its comprehensive work plan, controlling and managing to the risks, scope, schedule and budget
  • Managing Teams facilitating commitment and productivity, removing obstacles, and managing teams
  • Implementation and Management of Quality and Environmental Process and procedures on all projects focusing on meeting SPI and CPI performance indicators less than 1.0
  • Management of third-party projects including other transmission owners and interconnecting customers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly preferred
  • Seven (7)+ years relevant project management experience in electric utility projects is required
  • Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools
  • General understanding of utility operations
  • Experience with Transmission Projects, Greenfields & Brownfields
  • Strong experience with EPC Projects, Contract Models and Management
  • Strong Safety-First Focus
  • Strong experience with Article VII Permitting
  • Must have experience with building Greenfield Substations
  • Must have experience with 61850 Fiber Projects
  • Proficiency with financial analysis tools in a utility setting
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
