About the role
- Central point of contact for fundamental legal issues with a focus on compliance, anti-corruption and data protection
- Coordination of company-wide risk management and data protection, and participation in the implementation and effectiveness monitoring of measures in close coordination with executive management, the CFO, the information security officer, the external data protection officer, department heads and managers
- Development and implementation of compliance tools and a Compliance Management System, including guidelines, policies and instructions
- Advising business units on drafting and adapting standard contracts for customers, suppliers, service providers and employees
- Support for certifications and external audits, as well as conducting internal audits and controls for risk detection and loss prevention
- Support for HR in planning and delivering training on compliance topics such as anti-corruption, data protection, occupational health and safety and IT security
- Preparation of reports for executive management and, where required, drafting external compliance and data protection reports
Requirements
- Successfully passed the Second State Law Examination (Zweites juristisches Staatsexamen)
- Several years of professional experience as an attorney/fully qualified lawyer, ideally in a law firm or in the legal department of a company
- In-depth knowledge of civil law, particularly contract law
- Knowledge of unfair competition law, data protection, IT or public procurement law; professional experience in compliance or quality assurance is an advantage
- Analytical thinking, independent and structured working style, and strong problem-solving skills
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Confident user of MS Office
