About the role
- Strategy & Development: Support the Business Unit General Managers with the pricing and packaging strategy.
- Strategy & Development: Own pricing-related competitive and market research to benchmark pricing and inform positioning.
- Strategy & Development: Develop segmentation-based strategies to ensure market fit across different size companies and asset classes.
- Strategy & Development: Design and optimize monetization models including recurring subscriptions, usage-based pricing, and transaction-based add-ons.
- Analytics & Optimization: Define and track key pricing KPIs
- Analytics & Optimization: Partner with FP&A to run experiments and analyze pricing elasticity and performance.
- Analytics & Optimization: Conduct win/loss analysis and integrate feedback into pricing updates.
- Analytics & Optimization: Work with Finance to model revenue and margin impacts of pricing changes
- Cross-Functional Execution: Collaborate with Product & Business Unit GMs to align packaging with product capabilities and roadmap.
- Cross-Functional Execution: Support customer focused teams with pricing tools, enablement, and objection handling.
- Cross-Functional Execution: Lead structured rollouts and communications for any pricing or packaging changes.
- Governance & Operations: Maintain documentation and the change history of pricing decisions.
- Governance & Operations: Partner with BizOps and RevOps to manage pricing systems and internal tools (CPQ, billing systems, etc.).
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in pricing strategy with direct experience working in pricing within a technology company. Ideally this candidate has experience with service pricing models and a strategic consulting background
- Strong analytical and modeling skills; comfortable working with large data sets
- Experience designing pricing tests and interpreting customer feedback
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills; able to influence across levels and functions
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and taking ownership of complex initiatives
- Familiarity with SaaS financial metrics and subscription business models
