About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Engage in remote planning calls and asynchronous prep work.
  • Review session plans and learning arcs with an eye for intentionality, age appropriateness, and group flow.
  • Offer input to strengthen program design, sequence, and methodology based on learner profiles and context.
  • Lead sessions with clarity, energy, and emotional intelligence.
  • Observe and adapt in real time to student needs, group dynamics, and environmental cues.
  • Bring sessions to life using experiential methods, storytelling, play, and purposeful reflection.
  • Build rapport with students across age groups and backgrounds.
  • Engage meaningfully with educators and other school stakeholders to align on objectives and ensure continuity.
  • Contribute to cultivating a safe, welcoming, and empowering learning space for all participants.
  • Contribute to daily staff debriefs and post-program evaluation.
  • Document student shifts, group patterns, and key moments of learning.
  • Share insights and feedback to inform future program iterations and internal knowledge sharing.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in facilitation or experiential education, with demonstrated mastery in designing and delivering scaffolded, participant-centered learning experiences.
  • Strong understanding of experiential pedagogies and group development theories; able to design, sequence, and adapt learning arcs with intention and fluency.
  • Skilled at reading group dynamics and individual needs in real time, with the ability to flex and adjust content, flow, or approach accordingly.
  • Confident in engaging diverse youth audiences (ages 8–18) as well as adult stakeholders (educators, parents, school leaders).
  • Highly observant and reflective, with the ability to document learning moments, surface insights, and articulate program impact clearly and succinctly.
  • Committed to inclusive, youth-empowering facilitation practices and an ongoing journey of personal and professional growth.
