About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide homework help to 6th–10th grade students
- Tutor math through Algebra 2, reading/writing, general homework, and organizational skills
- Check grades and school portals with students to keep them on track
- Act as a role model and mentor students toward academic success
- Tutor several students throughout the week in virtual sessions
- Set a schedule of 5–10 hours per week within 3–9pm Monday–Thursday and 9am–9pm Saturday and Sunday
- Work the entire 2026/27 school year, starting in late August or early September
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ability to tutor most middle school and early high school subject areas
- Math proficiency through Algebra 2, including Algebra 1, geometry, or Algebra 2
- Science proficiency at physical science level or higher
- Ability to tutor reading/writing and history
- Minimum GPA of 3.5
- Good study habits and organizational skills, evidenced by college transcripts
- Ability to work effectively in a virtual environment
- Access to a clean, professional background for virtual sessions
- Previous tutoring experience is ideal but not required
- Current college student status is not required
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must provide employment eligibility/citizenship information
