About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist students with homework and test/quiz preparation
- Ensure students understand course concepts and material
- Identify knowledge gaps and review necessary concepts with students
- Tutor high school students virtually during the 2026/27 school year
- Choose working hours within 3–9 p.m. Monday–Thursday and 9 a.m.–9 p.m. Saturday–Sunday
Requirements
What you’ll need- Enjoy working with students in 9th–12th grade
- Ability to teach AP Physics, AP Chemistry, and/or AP Biology
- Preference for tutors who can teach multiple science subjects and/or additional subjects
- Some experience teaching, coaching, or mentoring in a school, church, daycare, peer tutoring, or volunteer setting
- GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Good study habits and organizational skills as evidenced by college transcripts
- College student status
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- U.S. citizenship or employment eligibility as specified in the application
