About the role

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure to guarantee high availability, scalability, and performance of our systems.
  • Own automation and CI/CD: improve pipelines, automate workflows, and drive innovation in our infrastructure setup to boost reliability and efficiency.
  • Ensure system health: monitor platform performance, manage incident responses, and proactively resolve or escalate issues to maintain uptime and service quality.
  • Champion security and compliance: apply and enforce security best practices and ensure alignment with industry standards and regulations across infrastructure and deployments.
  • Collaborate with developers: work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize application performance and ensure smooth, reliable deployments.

Requirements

  • A degree in IT, Software Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
  • Solid experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and a deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Strong proficiency in CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker Swarm).
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux system administration, networking concepts, and security best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset — you enjoy sharing knowledge and working with developers and stakeholders in both English and German.
