About the role

  • Run routine and ad hoc reports and use standard tools/computer programs to review data
  • Assist with data cleaning to ensure accuracy and prepare tables
  • Lead basic activities such as data collection and data entry; may lead specific tasks and develop processes
  • Conduct literature searches and assist in designing/formatting papers or publications
  • Assist PIs in writing summaries of papers for policy briefs or other channels
  • For the MOVED Study: complete phone and in-person survey interviews with one adult and one child in the family home
  • For the MOVED Study: collect biometric measures (height, weight, waist circumference, blood pressure, finger stick) in participants' homes
  • Independently schedule participant appointments and make reminder/confirmation calls
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field (additional education may substitute per JHU equivalency formula)
  • Previous experience working within a research setting (preferred)
  • Field experience engaging and recruiting participants (preferred)
  • Experience engaging participants from diverse backgrounds (preferred)
  • Interest and/or experience in housing, neighborhood factors, and/or food policy (preferred)
  • Ability to complete phone and in-person survey interviews with adults and children
  • Ability to take biometric measures: height, weight, waist circumference, blood pressure, and finger stick for diabetes
  • Ability to independently schedule appointments and make reminder/confirmation calls
  • Availability to work up to 20 hours/week including some evenings and weekends
