About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop plans, specification and cost estimates for water resource projects.
- Review shop plans and contract submittals.
- Assist with coordination of the bidding process.
- Analyze bids and recommend awarding of contracts.
- Develop relationships with contacts within and outside of the Department of Natural Resources to facilitate project development.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college with a degree in engineering.
- Requires three years or more experience in the field of engineering.
- Requires Professional Engineering License in the State of Illinois.
- Working knowledge of project design review and preparation preferred.
- Prefers two (2) years of experience working with bidding process for contracts.
- Prefers one (1) year of experience in project coordinator with State and Federal agencies.
- Prefers one (1) year of working experience of public works and construction projects.
