About the role
- Responsible for the successful management of cost, schedule, and scope of multiple engineering projects with hardware, software, mechanical, and systems components
- Lead and motivate a team of cross-functional engineers to achieve project goals
- Facilitate the creation of project schedules and requirements matrices
- Identify and coordinate internal and external resources to execute the plan
- Monitor and close programs/projects to achieve objectives
- Use industry standard techniques and tools to measure progress against product and program objectives
- Drive proactive corrective action where required
- Manage scope change control activities, and communicate periodic project assessment to sponsors
- Synthesize data and present program overview status to stakeholders
- Identify critical paths and project risks and recommend mitigation paths and plans
Requirements
- Bachelor degree, preferably in an Engineering discipline
- 5+ years of Technical Project Management and Product Development experience
- Association with PMI and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Experience managing team elements in multiple geographic locations
- Experience influencing and leading without direct authority
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Initiative-taking, accountable person with strong commitment to meeting personal and team goals as well as professional development
- Fully experienced in project management concepts with knowledge in at least one major discipline such as Engineering, Operations, or Marketing
- Strong expertise in systematic approach to problem-solving
- Candidate can present results of data analysis to identify problems and is involved in problem resolution
- Effectively utilizes Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project Scheduling tools.
