About the role

  • The Manager of Certifications reports to Deputy Director of Professional Standards; acts as full line supervisor.
  • Conducts special and routine projects for the Deputy Director and Executive Director.
  • Serves as technical expert on officer waiver and certification program policies and procedures.
  • Represents the department on various committees.
  • Performs other duties within scope as assigned.

Requirements

  • Knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with courses in law enforcement, criminal justice, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a sworn law enforcement capacity, including administration and basic patrol duties.
