About the role

  • Leading technical verification of potential applications – assessing cycle time, payload, reach, and integration risks
  • Developing and validating applications using UR & MiR technology: performing simulations and feasibility studies, and identifying and mitigating technical risks
  • Collaborating with sales teams and partners – participating in meetings, customer visits, and line walks, identifying automation potential, and generating qualified opportunities
  • Building proofs of concept and demonstrations, and delivering training and enablement programmes for partners and integrators
  • Ensuring CRM transparency – actively using Salesforce, documenting validation statuses, risks, and customer interactions, and reporting line walk outcomes
  • Working with regional and HQ teams – sharing best practices and market feedback, optimizing existing installations, and taking part in trade fairs, preparing case studies and marketing materials

Requirements

  • completed higher education in automation, robotics, mechatronics, electronics, or related fields (or equivalent experience)
  • at least three years in application engineering, industrial automation, robotics, or technical sales support
  • hands-on knowledge of Universal Robots and/or Mobile Industrial Robots systems
  • ability to perform feasibility analyses, simulations, and risk assessments
  • focus on sales and collaboration with customers, sales teams, and partners to identify and develop business opportunities
  • experience with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce)
  • excellent communication and presentation skills
  • independence and accountability with technical recommendations
  • experience integrating robots with PLC systems, familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., RoboDK, Visual Components)
  • additional languages (English & German required; another EMEA language is a plus)
