💰 $5,432 - $9,713 per month

About the role

  • Accountable for quality control/quality assurance (QC/QA) activities ensuring Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA), Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) and cement aggregate mixtures are acceptable for use on state/local highway projects.
  • Surveys, calibrates, and approves bituminous hot-mix plants and concrete plants.
  • Trains, motivates, and evaluates subordinate staff.
  • Assigns the appropriate mixture to the project and modifies mix designs as necessary.

Requirements

  • Completion of two years of college in civil engineering technology, pre-engineering or job related technical/science curriculum
  • Six years of engineering experience; OR Eight years of engineering experience.
  • Experience in communicating with outside entities.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Ability to pass the prescribed QC/QA HMA Level I, Level II, and Level III training courses and PCC Level I, Level II, and Level III training courses within 24 months of the start date.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Successful completion of a background screening.
