About the role
- Provides overall direction of the district’s annual and multi-year programs and engineering phase of projects
- Responsible for developing project reports and contract plans, agreements with governmental agencies, utility companies
- Coordinates district improvement projects with local governments, planning organizations, and private developers
- Exercises significant discretion for the implementation of policy and strategy
- Represents the district on various planning committees
Requirements
- Current registration as a Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Illinois
- Twelve years of experience in civil engineering including seven years of supervising staff and managing engineering functions
