About the role
- Perform diversified assembly, rework, repair, inspection and/or basic test on electronics and/or mechanical assemblies.
- Capable of using a broad range of power and hand tools.
- Move material using appropriate equipment.
- Performs data entry and general recordkeeping.
- Assemblers are required to comply with departmental safety requirements, contribute to the quality improvement process, interface, and communicate within the department/division as a function of the position.
- Test Execution and debug module builds.
- Ability to problem solve through creative and analytical thinking.
- Identify root causes and pursue corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of faults on assembly builds.
- Work closely with Engineering and NPI groups to obtain resolutions to issues encountered.
- Documenting, troubleshooting and isolating moderate to complex problems.
Requirements
- Associate degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent, required.
- Knowledge and experience with signal generators, digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, etc.
- Ability to work independently on time bound projects.
- Knowledge of both analog and digital circuits and experience with component-level debug of PCB assemblies.
- Knowledge of Windows, Client Office, Adobe Reader, understanding BOMs, Revision controls, and ECO's is preferred.
- Knowledge of six sigma, lean manufacturing, 5S practices, Quality Control problem solving tools and PCBA manufacturing problem is a plus.
- Experience with RF products and Silicon Photonics is a plus.
