About the role
- Assists in maintaining a Statewide 24-hour Long-Term care abuse/neglect hotline.
- Receives complaints against Long-Term Care facilities, hospitals, home health agencies, ambulatory surgical treatment centers, end state renal disease centers, hospice agencies, rural health clinics, sub-acute facilities, and unlicensed nursing homes.
- Interviews callers in order to determine if complaint/concerns pertain to regulatory non-compliance for any of the programs served or if caller needs referral to another agency.
- Enters call information into central database as to type of caller and nature of each allegation.
Requirements
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with courses in public or business administration.
- Requires one year of professional experience in a public or private organization, or completion of an agency-approved professional management training program.
- Two years' of work experience in Microsoft Word, and spreadsheet applications (i.e., Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet).
- Two years' of experience preparing complex written and oral reports.
- Two years' of experience preparing correspondence in professional manner consistent with applicable policies and procedures.
- Extensive knowledge of office practices, procedures, and programs.
- One year experience working on a hot line.
