About the role
- Participate in an agency training program to develop knowledge in auditing employers’ books and records
- Complete classroom-based training and assessments
- Travel to employer worksites for on-the-job training in performing audits
- Accept and complete assignments utilizing agency supplied PC and software
- Attend and participate in meetings
Requirements
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or an allied field
- Fifteen (15) credit hours in accounting classes, including at least one audit class (preferred)
- One (1) year of experience utilizing knowledge of accounting and auditing theories, methods and procedures (preferred)
- One (1) year of experience examining financial records for discrepancies (preferred)
- One (1) year of experience working with financial software systems (preferred)
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (preferred)
- Experience preparing and presenting comprehensive financial reports (preferred)
