About the role
- Define and own overall test strategy, test plans, and quality benchmarks
- Lead automation framework design, implementation, and maintenance
- Guide the team on best practices for functional, regression, performance, security, and API testing
- Lead, mentor, and upskill QA engineers and testers
- Oversee test execution and defect management processes
- Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide clear quality status reports to stakeholders
Requirements
- 6–10+ years of experience in software testing
- 2–4+ years in a QA Lead / Technical Lead role
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong experience in software testing and QA leadership
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium)
- Knowledge of API testing (Postman, REST Assured, etc.)
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and DevOps
