About the role
- Plans, organizes, directs, and controls the varied activities of the Programming section
- Coordinates the Programming section’s work with all other sections in the Bureau of Program Development as well as other district staff and related Central Office personnel
- Assigns, trains, motivates, and evaluates subordinate personnel
- Formulates and monitors current and long-range programs
- Supervises the coordination of the urban planning process for urbanized areas
- Ensures compliance with departmental safety rules
- Performs duties in compliance with departmental safety rules
- Performs all duties in a manner conducive to the fair and equitable treatment of all employees
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Current registration as a Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Illinois
- Five years of experience in civil engineering
