About the role
- Direct subordinate supervisors and staff in the delivery of unemployment insurance and employment services
- Involvement in financial and non-financial Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) negotiations
- Oversee daily operations of assigned offices
- Develop and implement an annual plan of service
- Act as a liaison to external and internal parties regarding local office operations
- Keep abreast of new developments in applicable laws, rules and regulations
Requirements
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with courses in business or public administration
- Requires prior experience equivalent to three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience or five (5) years of professional experience in a public or business organization
- Two (2) years of managerial experience in unemployment insurance or employment services program, or related area
- One (1) year of professional experience supervising staff including providing training and evaluating performance
- One (1) year of professional experience applying knowledge of federal and state unemployment laws and employment program legislation
- One (1) year of experience monitoring program output levels
