About the role

  • Serves as the Prevention Administrator for the Office of Housing Stability in the Division of Family & Community Services (FCS).
  • Directs, organizes, and develops highly complex research to craft written and/or statistical proposals affecting changes in recommended legislation, existing statutes, and/or administrative rules as it relates to Bureau programs.
  • Serves as full-line supervisor.
  • Reviews data summary analysis reports, on routine basis, to promote needed updates and/or development of policies, procedures, and/or guidelines that result in ongoing equal and equitable service delivery to eligible individuals, statewide.
  • Represents the Associate Director or other FCS executive team in internal and external meetings with other bureaus, divisions, grantees, stakeholders, and state and federal government representatives.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years college with course work in a social or human services field.
  • Requires four (4) years progressively responsible administrative experience working with housing and homeless services in a health or human services organization.
  • Four (4) years of professional experience in planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating program support services and related strategic goals and objectives, activities, and operational systems for a public or private organization as it relates to housing and homeless services.
  • Four (4) years professional experience reviewing and analyzing program, fiscal and operational written and statistical reports.
  • Four (4) years of professional experience developing, reviewing, and analyzing budgets for a public or private business organization to develop and implement strategies for allocation of federal and/or state funding for a public or private organization.
  • Four (4) years of professional experience planning for the effective utilization of program monitoring resources for a public or private business organization.
  • Four (4) years of professional experience exercising judgement and discretion in developing, implementing, interpreting, and monitoring program financial and personnel policies, procedures, and/or protocols for a public or private organization.
  • Three (3) years of professional supervisory experience managing personnel, assigning work, providing guidance to subordinates, recommending and/or implementing counseling and/or discipline activities following collective bargaining agreements, training staff, and approving time off.
