Develop detailed design solutions based on product requirements
Present proposed solutions to design engineers and manufacturing engineers
Perform DFM with vendors
Prepare final drawings and BOMs for fabrication
Build initial prototypes of proposed designs and complete validation
Perform required design verification
Collaborate effectively in a remote environment
Work as an individual contributor on new product development of test equipment
Requirements
Minimum B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field with at least 8 years of experience in mechanical design.
Stress/strain analysis and FEA skills
Familiar with system level and board level power distribution and cooling methods
Proficient with Solidworks (or similar) and PDM tools
Sheetmetal, machined, plastic injection molded part design experience
Cable harness design experience
General mechanism design experience
Familiarity with compliance standards ie SEMI, IEC/EN/UL 61010 is a plus
Experience with Semiconductor package handlers and wafer probers is a plus
Able to prepare presentations explaining work and design proposal to remote teams
Familiar with remote collaboration tools (Teams, Webex, Zoom, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work successfully within a team and across disciplines.
