Conducts complex audits of monthly professional contractors’ expenditure statements and updates financial reports for management review.
Reviews and updates Title IV-D cost allocation records, expenditure documents and resource data for cost effective financial reports.
Posts payments of appropriated contract expenditures to the statewide accounting system.
Serves as technical advisor to lower-level staff.
Reviews state and federal regulations and changes in payment processing.
Keeps apprised of statewide accounting practices and procedures for compliance with contract terms.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Requirements
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college with courses in business administration and accounting
Requires two (2) years of professional experience in accounting, external auditing, budgetary planning and control or public accounting
Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history
Requires the ability to utilize and maintain state issued equipment such as a laptop
