About the role
- Plans, directs, and coordinates the Clerical Support unit within Champaign region.
- Serves as a working supervisor.
- Performs office management functions.
- Directs and monitors the keying of pre-coded data into the computerized statewide database systems from various sources.
- Organizes, reviews, and establishes clerical workload assignments.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Requirements
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to the completion of two (2) years of study at a secretarial / business college and two (2) years of office experience, or completion of high school and four (4) years of Office Assistant experience, or four (4) years of independent business experience.
- Requires the ability to pass a national background check prior to employment due to accessing confidential federal tax information.
- Requires the ability to utilize and maintain state issued equipment such as a laptop.
- Requires the ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate.
