Serves as an Audit Supervisor in the Office of Inspector General (OIG) for the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS)
Serves as full line supervisor
Confers with providers in informal reviews
Provides input into the revision of audit manuals, standard operating procedures, audit protocols, and guidelines for obtaining goals/objectives
Attends staff meetings and conferences to keep abreast of any changes and/or revisions
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
Requirements
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college with courses in business administration, accounting, or finance
Requires prior experience equivalent to three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in the fields of fiscal management, accounting, budgeting, internal auditing, insurance and/or finance
Two (2) years of professional experience in pharmacy operations and compliance preferred
Two (2) years of work experience utilizing the National Drug Code (NDC) Directory preferred
Two (2) years of professional experience with computerized pharmacy information and dispensing systems, operations, and clinical pharmacy services preferred
Two (2) years of professional auditing experience preferred
Two (2) years of professional experience drafting reports preferred
One (1) year of professional experience interpreting and applying Medicaid laws, rules, or policies preferred
One (1) year of work experience reviewing and analyzing medical or pharmacy claims data reports preferred
One (1) year professional experience serving in a supervisory or leadership role preferred
Requires completion of background check and self-disclosure of criminal history
Requires the ability to travel statewide in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate
Requires the ability to utilize and maintain state issued equipment such as a laptop
