About the role
- Manage and oversee end-to-end payroll processing for multiple countries
- Full ownership of the Portuguese payroll
- Ensure data accuracy and legal compliance across payroll systems, providers, and internal processes
- Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and third-party providers to resolve complex payroll issues
- Prepare and validate reports, audits, and statutory declarations in alignment with local regulations
- Identify and lead process improvements and automation opportunities across payroll operations
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members, sharing your expertise and best practices
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in international payroll
- Strong expertise in Portuguese payroll processes and legislation
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field
- Experienced in working with payroll systems and HRIS tools (e.g., ADP, Workday)
- Deep understanding of local labor laws, tax regulations, and social contributions in Portugal
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- 28 days of vacation
