About the role
- Lead a 10–15‑person squad of Data Scientists and Machine‑Learning Engineers and provide technical and people leadership for Pricing & Fleet Optimization product line
- Own the architecture and design of serverless and microservice pipelines handling millions of pricing requests per day backed by ML and linear‑programming models
- Shape the technical roadmap translating commercial goals into measurable ML milestones and run A/B tests to unlock incremental margin
- Grow and mentor team members, create growth plans, and transition high‑potential engineers into management roles
- Drive engineering excellence: code quality, CI/CD, observability, and incident‑response culture
- Communicate complex technical trade‑offs to executive stakeholders and secure buy‑in
Requirements
- 10+ years building and shipping AI/ML products for large enterprises—ideally in pricing, revenue-management, or supply‑chain optimization
- 5+ years of engineering‑management experience, including mentoring ICs and emerging leaders
- Deep expertise in machine learning, linear programming, and optimization techniques
- Hands‑on mastery of Python (NumPy, Pandas/Polars, Dask, TensorFlow/Keras/PyTorch)
- Proven experience with serverless architectures (e.g. AWS Lambda, GCP Cloud Functions), microservices, and event‑driven systems (e.g. Kafka, Pub/Sub)
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments with evolving requirements
- Outstanding written and verbal communication and storytelling skills
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field; PhD a plus
- Nice to Have: Prior work on dynamic fleet dispatching or price optimization; Familiarity with A/B experimentation and causal inference; Contributions to open‑source ML or infrastructure projects
