About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Take technical ownership of our Snowflake-based data platform and continuously advance it strategically and technically
Design and optimize scalable data architectures, data warehouses, and data models with a focus on performance, stability, and long-term viability
Develop, operate, and optimize high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines
Define best practices for data quality, data modeling, and architecture
Serve as the central point of contact for technical questions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of professional experience (at least 5–7 years) in data engineering
Solid hands-on experience with Snowflake
Good understanding of modern data architectures, performance optimization, and best practices
Proficient in SQL and Python
Ideally experienced with tools such as dbt, Apache Airflow, or Dagster, and with cloud technologies, preferably Azure
Experienced in building and operating ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, data warehouses, and data lakes
Strong understanding of scalable data architectures
Demonstrate self-responsibility, technical judgment, and the ability to share your expertise as a technical sparring partner
Confident communication in German and good command of English
