About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deploy and initialize client-plane data environments in GCP and connect them to the existing Azure control plane
- Design and deploy landing zones and tenant onboarding patterns
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for reliable, automated delivery across development, testing, staging, and production
- Take ownership of Terraform Infrastructure-as-Code and Flux GitOps
- Implement cross-cloud, cross-tenant management patterns and cross-cloud telemetry using Grafana and Telegraf
- Define networking, security policies, and landing-zone configuration
- Deploy a managed GenAI SaaS platform into regulated client environments
- Work client-side in GCP while connecting data-plane environments to an existing Azure control plane
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or Platform Engineer
- Strong GCP expertise, especially resource hierarchy, Organization Policy Service, IAM, VPC Service Controls, and GKE
- Experience with Azure cloud services and understanding of Azure Lighthouse
- Proven experience with multi-tenant solutions
- Knowledge of multi-cloud/hybrid architecture
- Hands-on expertise with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, secrets management, and secure deployment practices
- Understanding of data residency and sovereignty requirements for regulated clients
- Strong understanding of scalability, reliability, security, and operational best practices
- Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar
- Working knowledge of Terraform
- Working knowledge of Grafana, Prometheus, Telegraf, Datadog, or similar tools
- Working knowledge of Flux, ArgoCD, or similar tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Commitment to continuous improvement
- Must be able to travel freely within Europe for workshops
- Must be able to overlap Australian working hours from 7–10 AM CET
- Preferred: familiarity with AWS
- Preferred: experience with customer-managed keys/encryption
- Preferred: deploying GenAI/RAG workloads
- Preferred: exposure to data-intensive and AI-driven products focused on performance, scalability, and portability
