About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support Space Systems and cover a variety of space and defense projects
  • Develop designs for spacecraft, spacecraft components, mechanical ground support equipment, tooling, structural steel stands, and fixtures
  • Work in a collaborative team environment with other designers and analysts
  • Present and defend designs and analysis to the customer at a high level
  • Work with other companies/organizations in development of design products
  • Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, concepts, and techniques

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 2 yrs minimum experience in support of spacecraft design or analysis
  • Experience working with manufacturing organizations
  • Solid modeling experience with SolidWorks or CREO
  • Experience with GD&T
  • Experience with NASA SLS hardware
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Office, PowerPoint, and Word
  • US Citizen Preferred
