About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support Space Systems and cover a variety of space and defense projects
Develop designs for spacecraft, spacecraft components, mechanical ground support equipment, tooling, structural steel stands, and fixtures
Work in a collaborative team environment with other designers and analysts
Present and defend designs and analysis to the customer at a high level
Work with other companies/organizations in development of design products
Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, concepts, and techniques

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering
2 yrs minimum experience in support of spacecraft design or analysis
Experience working with manufacturing organizations
Solid modeling experience with SolidWorks or CREO
Experience with GD&T
Experience with NASA SLS hardware
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Office, PowerPoint, and Word
US Citizen Preferred
