About the role

  • As a Backend Engineer at Tellent, you’ll play a key role in building and evolving the analytics platform that powers reporting across Recruitee and Tellent HR.
  • You’ll work hands-on throughout the entire product lifecycle — from shaping ideas and designing solutions to implementing new functionality and shipping it to production.
  • In close collaboration with the team, you’ll build systems that turn data into reliable, scalable insights, while actively improving backend performance, code quality, and long-term maintainability.

Requirements

  • Strong skills in a backend programming language. Preferably Elixir, but we’re open to candidates from different technical backgrounds.
  • Product thinking - you don't just implement specs, you think about whether we're solving the right problem. You're pragmatic and able to evaluate and make tradeoffs when necessary.
  • Comfortable with experimentation and prototyping.
  • Rock-solid database / PostgreSQL skills — from thoughtful schema design to efficient querying and the optimizations that follow.
  • AI skillset — you effectively use AI in your daily work to learn new concepts and deliver work faster without compromising quality.
  • Excellent communication skills in Polish and good command of English (B2).
