About the role
- Monitor network engineering performance to ensure system availability and reliability
- Configure and install various network devices and services, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and QoS settings
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including applying service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations
- Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning to optimize network performance
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution and technical support
Requirements
- active Secret clearance
- BA/BS in Computer Science or related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 10 years as a Network Engineer within the Department of Defense (DOD) environment
