About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct requirements elicitation and management by leading workshops and interviews with business and operations teams, translating needs into clear, traceable and prioritized functional and technical requirements.
- Structure, prioritize and maintain the project and IT demand backlog, ensuring visibility of initiatives, alignment with business prioritization criteria and continuous refinement of deliverables.
- Plan, document and execute Change Management (GMUD) processes in production environments following ITIL best practices, including risk analysis, definition of change windows, development of rollback plans and communication to impacted audiences.
- Act as focal point between IT, business areas, mine operations, suppliers and implementation partners, promoting alignment, managing expectations and communicating status, risks and deviations transparently.
- Prepare and monitor project schedules, controlling milestones and the critical path, anticipating delay risks and driving corrective actions and replanning when necessary.
- Ensure project governance by maintaining documentation, meeting minutes, RACI matrix, risk logs and lessons learned, and by presenting portfolio indicators related to schedule, scope, cost and quality to IT leadership.
- Manage external suppliers and partners, monitoring deliveries, tracking SLAs, ensuring service quality and adherence to contracted scope.
- Lead projects in IT and OT (Information Technology and Operational Technology) environments, involving enterprise systems, integrations, cloud solutions and field infrastructure such as industrial networks, mine connectivity and underground fiber optic, observing operational safety and cybersecurity requirements.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field.
- Solid experience in IT project management and/or analysis, with proven involvement in initiatives of various types including systems, infrastructure and technology projects.
- Experience in requirements elicitation and backlog management using agile, hybrid or traditional methodologies.
- Experience in executing GMUD (Change Management) processes and Change Management practices in critical production environments.
- Proficiency with project, demand and portfolio management tools such as MS Project, Jira or similar solutions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with diverse audiences, including technical stakeholders, executives and operational teams, ensuring alignment and engagement throughout projects.
- Willingness to travel to operational units, including mine sites and underground environments, complying with required safety trainings and protocols.
