About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Draft and review transactional and corporate documents, including contracts, independent contractor agreements, and entity formation materials, in support of the firm’s clients
Provide transactional and contracts support on California matters, applying California-specific law where relevant
Review and negotiate contract terms on behalf of clients or established practices engaging new personnel
Support the firm’s attorneys on day-to-day business and corporate structuring matters for small- to mid-sized healthcare practices and management services organizations
Deliver clear, accurate, client-ready work product on agreed timelines
Actively engage in continuing education relevant to the firm’s transactional and corporate practice

Requirements

What you’ll need

Actively barred in California, with four or more years of experience as a barred attorney
Residing in Illinois
Experienced in the preparation and negotiation of contracts
Experienced in regulatory and transactional work (not litigation), with a general transactional, corporate, or contracts background
Extremely detail-oriented and able to deliver error-free work to clients on tight deadlines
Able to communicate challenging topics clearly and effectively to clients and colleagues
Friendly, and well suited to a mutually supportive, non-competitive work environment
Able to work independently and manage a part-time workload with minimal oversight
