About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with the Senior Vice President Area Resources to serve JA Areas without ELCs or Instructional Models, providing support, consultation, and coordination to advance JA USA initiatives and Area success. Translate enterprise strategy into practical, scalable programs, tools, and playbooks for field adoption.
  • Partner with JA Area Presidents as a senior advisor on implementation, readiness, and operational improvement.
  • Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities within the portfolio and recommend actionable solutions to SVP Area Resources.
  • Drive adoption of national operational standards, policies, and compliance frameworks across JA Areas.
  • Monitor portfolio performance using data, dashboards, and success metrics; ensure accountability.
  • Support risk mitigation by proactively identifying compliance gaps and escalating systemic issues.
  • Operationalize governance processes to ensure consistency, transparency, and sustainability.
  • Oversee deployment and continuous improvement of tools, data resources, and shared services.
  • Ensure JA Areas have accessible, user-ready resources that support efficient execution.
  • Partner cross-functionally to refine and enhance enterprise platforms and support delivery models.
  • Drive standardization and usability of resources to minimize fragmentation across the network.
  • Serve as a primary liaison to internal functional teams, aligning resources, expertise, and support.
  • Influence cross-functional priorities to ensure Area Resource needs are represented.
  • Facilitate communication between JA USA and JA Areas to improve clarity, alignment, and responsiveness.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8-10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience, including experience within enterprise, federated, or multi-entity organizations.
  • Prior experience working for or closely supporting a Junior Achievement Area, with a strong understanding of the unique opportunities, challenges, and operational needs of local JA Areas.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing organizational strategy across decentralized or geographically distributed organizations.
  • Proven success leading operational execution, governance initiatives, or large-scale program implementation with measurable results.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, build consensus, and drive results with senior leaders and stakeholders without direct reporting authority.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience leveraging data, dashboards, and performance metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated systems thinking with the ability to optimize processes, standardize practices, and improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, build organizational capability, and effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 25 - 30% to support JA Areas, attend national meetings, conferences, and other business-related events as needed.
