About the role

  • Work directly with client finance, analytics, and operations teams to understand their data and what they're trying to accomplish
  • Translate undocumented schemas and fragmented datasets into clean, structured data—and do it in a way that's repeatable with AI
  • Build the analytical foundation that lets clients run their business with data
  • Apply statistical methods and modeling to answer business questions and validate that the systems are working
  • Extract reusable patterns and components from client solutions
  • Help build the playbook and tooling that lets us onboard future clients faster
  • Supervise teams of AI-powered agents to do data science work at scale
  • Build the sanity checks and feedback loops for AI outputs
  • Continuously improve workflows for efficiency

Requirements

  • Strong SQL and data fundamentals.
  • Production mindset.
  • Python and statistical fluency.
  • Experience with data modeling and financial/business metrics.
  • Product and business intuition.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and client-facing work.
  • AI fluency.
  • High ownership and motivation.
  • Experience at a growth-stage startup (nice-to-have)
  • Familiarity with dbt, Snowflake, Airflow, or similar tools (nice-to-have)
  • Prior work on pricing, marketplace dynamics, and financial reporting (nice-to-have)
  • Experience with forecasting and optimization concepts (nice-to-have)
  • Experimentation and causal inference background (nice-to-have)
  • Bayesian thinking (nice-to-have)
