About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Configure, manage and maintain Firewall solutions (NGFW), including security policies, VPNs (IPsec and SSL), Web Filter and Application Control.
- Troubleshoot security incidents and connectivity issues related to the network perimeter.
- Analyze security logs and alerts to identify and respond to potential threats.
- Actively participate in the change management process, ensuring the secure implementation of new rules and configurations.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for the managed environments.
- Collaborate with internal teams and interact with clients to resolve tickets and provide specialized technical support.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in security or network operations environments.
- Strong knowledge of Firewalls: NGFW, IPsec VPN, Web Filter, Application Control and Inspection.
- Experience with network troubleshooting and packet analysis.
- Familiarity with change management processes and security best practices.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Technical English (for reading documentation and interacting with platforms).
- Experience with complementary technologies such as WAF, IPS, Switching & Routing (BGP, OSPF) and NAC (802.1x).
- Basic knowledge of task automation (scripting in Python, Ansible, etc.).
- Familiarity with applicable security standards such as ISO 27001.
- Firewall focus: Fortinet (NSE 4, FCP), Palo Alto (PCNSA), Check Point (CCSA).
- Advanced certifications (NSE 7, PCNSE, CCSE) are a strong plus.
- Others: Cisco (CCNA), CompTIA (Security+).
