About the role

  • Lead design, implementation, and refinement of data science curricula for iSchool's online learning platform.
  • Create engaging and interactive content related to coding and data science for students aged 6–18.
  • Design structured plans and outlines for advanced courses and curriculums in areas including Fundamentals of Programming, Data Science and Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Web Development, Mobile App Development, and Game Development.
  • Develop advanced lessons, hands-on projects, and comprehensive assessments that support progressive learning objectives.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, tutors, and educators to ensure technical accuracy and pedagogical effectiveness.
  • Mentor and guide junior content developers to ensure growth, quality, and consistency in content creation.
  • Manage curriculum development timelines and deliverables to maintain efficiency and high standards.
  • Stay updated on trends in data science and programming education and integrate new tools, languages, and methodologies into the curriculum.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of proven experience in technical content or curriculum development, with a strong portfolio of projects.
  • Advanced knowledge in data science concepts, including data analysis, statistics, machine learning, and AI principles.
  • Strong understanding of beginner-friendly programming languages such as Scratch, Python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Basic knowledge of Game Development tools such as Godot and Unity.
  • Prior experience in managing or leading a content development team.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Expertise in instructional design and the creation of progressive, modular courses that scaffold from beginner to advanced levels.
  • Proven ability to design projects that apply concepts to real-life scenarios, fostering problem-solving and creativity.
  • Skilled in designing assessments that accurately measure learning outcomes.
  • Ability to use storytelling and practical examples to make abstract programming and data science concepts engaging and relatable.
  • Preferred: Prior experience teaching or tutoring coding or data science to children or young adults.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and content authoring tools.
