About the role

  • You are the supervisor of the day-shift staff in the Electrical Engineering department and the electrical workshop at our refinery power plant in Leuna, and act as deputy for the department head.
  • Training and instruction of your team members on all aspects of occupational safety and legal regulations, as well as organizing, implementing and monitoring measures within the scope of occupational safety.
  • Planning, organizing and coordinating maintenance, testing and repair activities (electrical systems including temporary construction power network, fire detection systems, communications and alarm technology).
  • Cost estimation for the above-mentioned work and budget planning together with the Head of Electrical Engineering.
  • Spare parts management.
  • Documentation of the aforementioned maintenance and repair activities (using maintenance software).
  • Instruction and coordination of external contractors.
  • Inspection of systems and monitoring of work execution.
  • Planning, organizing (including issuing instructions) and performing switching operations in low, medium and high voltage.
  • Troubleshooting of electrical components, assessment and rectification (including documentation).
  • Willingness to pursue continuous professional development in your field, particularly regarding the software and IT systems used.
  • Acquisition of knowledge in control systems (integration of electrical equipment into the control system, Power Plant Classification System (KKS), operation, troubleshooting).
  • Conducting and accompanying operational tests and plant optimization.
  • On-call duty.

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training as a master technician or degree as an engineer in electrical engineering with a focus on power engineering, or equivalent qualification.
  • Good knowledge of electrical engineering and measurement technology.
  • Switching authorization for medium voltage, preferably up to 110 kV.
  • Valid Class B driver's license.
  • Proficient in MS Office and common user software.
  • Fluent German (business/professional level).
  • High level of commitment, strong communication skills and team orientation.
