About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, refactor, and evolve core Discovery platform components
  • Drive architectural improvements to reduce technical debt and improve scalability and stability
  • Own platform initiatives from problem definition to delivery
  • Collaborate closely with Product to translate business goals into technical roadmap items
  • Mentor and support other engineers through technical leadership and clear communication

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong backend engineering experience with Node.js (TypeScript)
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL and Kafka/RabbitMQ
  • Practical experience with Linux and Docker
  • Proven experience refactoring and maintaining existing production systems
  • Ability to work independently and identify what needs to be done
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Valid VISA to work in Czechia / EU.
  • General knowledge about Networks (L2/L3) or network automation (Bonus)
  • Experience with a process debugging and profiling (Bonus)
  • Experience with distributed systems or large-scale data processing (Bonus)
  • CI/CD pipeline and deployment experience (Bonus)
