About the role
- Luo language professional to help shape the future of AI by contributing high-quality Luo training data
- Provide linguistic depth, cultural context, and precision to Luo training data; evaluate and refine Luo text outputs; provide feedback on grammar, syntax, semantics, style, and cultural appropriateness
- Review and annotate Luo content; assess AI outputs for accuracy and fluency; document error patterns; refine prompts and linguistic guidelines with the team
- Fluency in Luo required; experience in translation, linguistics, language teaching, editing, or related professional work; training/coaching/linguistic annotation a plus; strong communication, cultural knowledge, and attention to detail
- Opportunity to shape AI tools for Luo speakers worldwide
- Pay range: $8-$65 per hour; final offer depends on experience and geographic location; contractor role; own equipment and internet; no health insurance or PTO.
Requirements
- Fluency in Luo is required
- Demonstrated experience in translation, linguistics, language teaching, editing, or related professional work
- Experience in training, coaching, or linguistic annotation is a plus
- Clear communication skills, cultural knowledge, and attention to detail
