About the role

  • Record short lines and paragraphs in your dominant language (various tones: friendly, neutral, authoritative)
  • Participate in paired or group script readings with other Afrikaans-speakers, typically short scripts of around 5 minutes
  • Follow direction and retake as needed for timing, emphasis, and clarity
  • Submit clean, well-labeled audio files on schedule

Requirements

  • Near-Native Proficiency in Afrikaans
  • Must speak 2 languages well (preferably non-English)
  • Native-level fluency in your language and strong, easy-to-understand speech
  • Silent recording environment (no background noise, echo, or hum)
  • Crisp audio: a good microphone is a big plus (USB/XLR), stable setup, pop filter if possible
  • Ability to follow briefs and take notes on pronunciation or style
