About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Editing & post-production of short-form content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) – primarily talking-head footage, podcast/interview snippets, and B-roll
- Selecting the best takes and constructing a clear story
- Crafting hook-driven intros (the first 1–2 seconds are your playground)
- Adding music, sound effects, subtitles, and simple animations/motion elements
- Creating subtitles/captions (readable, dynamic, and on-brand)
- Performance optimization: high watch time, strong hooks, clean pattern interrupts, precise timing, and clear messaging
- Template/system thinking: reusable caption styles, branding elements, and faster workflows
- Structured organization of files, assets, and projects (folder structure, versioning, handovers)
- Pacing & storytelling: tempo, jump cuts, pattern interrupts, shot changes, zooms, and overlays
- Optional: support on shoot days (e.g., camera assistant, footage checks, set organization)
Requirements
What you’ll need- Initial experience in video editing, e.g., with Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar tools
- Strong instinct for editing, timing, and social media storytelling
- Familiarity with current trends on TikTok/Instagram Reels/YouTube Shorts — and the ability to adapt them to the brand
- High willingness to learn, proactive attitude, and a visible commitment to quality
- Structured, reliable, and tidy working style (you keep projects organized amid chaos)
- Good German language skills (at least B2)
- Bonus: experience with AI tools (e.g., subtitles, edit optimization, thumbnails, text/hook variants)
