About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build strong relationships with senior leadership to ensure alignment with Investissement Québec (IQ) priorities
  • Define technology choices and advise leaders on their impacts
  • Support the strategic plan and portfolio decision-making
  • Define feasible evolution scenarios adapted to Investissement Québec’s context
  • Guide and develop the enterprise architecture function
  • Plan internal and external resources and ensure delivery capacity
  • Develop talent, skills, learning and knowledge sharing
  • Define and evolve the enterprise architecture vision
  • Lead technology portfolio modernization, manage technical debt and integrate AI
  • Evaluate technology initiatives based on value, cost and risk
  • Define and maintain architecture roadmaps
  • Establish architecture principles, standards and governance frameworks
  • Hold corporate authority on architecture and influence technology decisions
  • Ensure alignment, consistency and compliance of solutions
  • Maintain coherence and integration of architectures across technology projects
  • Integrate architecture directions into corporate project office governance
  • Ensure optimal allocation of architecture capacity
  • Promote reuse, simplicity and long-term sustainability of solutions
  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of architects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (IT, engineering, business administration or equivalent)
  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in enterprise architecture
  • Five (5) years’ experience in technology leadership
  • Enterprise architecture certifications (an asset)
  • Strong business acumen and ability to link technology decisions to organizational costs, risks and benefits
  • Proven experience managing teams
  • Solid expertise in application architecture, data architecture, cloud and security
  • Experience developing talent in architecture and emerging technologies
  • Understanding of AI-related challenges and opportunities, including generative AI
  • Experience in complex, matrixed environments or organizational transformations
