About the role

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions using the **Liferay Digital Experience Platform (DXP)**
  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to define and deliver new features aligned with business requirements
  • Guide or mentor external development teams, ensuring adherence to **best practices and architectural standards**
  • Contribute to **system architecture**, **code quality**, and **process improvements** throughout the SDLC
  • Participate in the deployment and management of Liferay-based platforms in **cloud (AWS/Azure)** and **on-premise** infrastructures

Requirements

  • **3+ years** of experience working with **Liferay DXP (7.x)** including portal development (JSR-286), customization, and third-party integration
  • Deep understanding of **Liferay architecture**, including module development (OSGi), **service builder**, **theming**, and **permissions framework**
  • Experience in deploying Liferay in **cloud** and **on-prem** environments, with familiarity in scalability and performance tuning
  • Strong **Java (v8 to v21+)** experience, including modern Java features and legacy system support
  • Hands-on experience with **Spring**, **Hibernate**, **RESTful APIs**, **CI/CD pipelines**, and **Elasticsearch**
  • Familiarity with frontend technologies used in Liferay such as **JSP**, **AlloyUI**, and modern JS frameworks (e.g. React)
  • Basic Liferay administration knowledge (user/role management, configuration, performance monitoring)
  • Experience in **customer-facing, mission-critical systems** that handle **high traffic** and require **elastic scaling**
  • Solid grasp of **Clean Code**, **Clean Architecture**, and maintainable development principles
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven experience working within **Agile teams**
