About the role

  • We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer (Puppet) to join a high-security infrastructure environment and play a key role in the continuous improvement, operation, and support of a critical configuration management platform. This is a challenging opportunity for professionals who have hands-on experience with Puppet Enterprise, are familiar with DevOps best practices, and can operate independently in complex, regulated environments where security and stability are top priorities. The role focuses on maintaining and improving infrastructure automation capabilities while ensuring compliance, versioning, and overall operational excellence. Operate and maintain Puppet Enterprise infrastructure.; Ensure server compliance with policies (e.g. resolving no-op or unresponsive nodes).; Assist internal teams in adopting Puppet Enterprise for their automation needs.; Perform version upgrades regularly to maintain a secure and up-to-date installation.; Contribute to refactoring and performance improvements of the configuration management stack.; Enhance security posture of the Puppet Enterprise environment.; Improve agent upgrade flows and reduce unnecessary task dependencies.

Requirements

  • At least 9–10 years of professional experience in the IT field, depending on level of education.; Proven expertise in Puppet Enterprise administration and automation.; Solid understanding of DevOps methodologies and secure system configuration practices.; Experience working in secure and high-availability environments.; Strong troubleshooting and infrastructure improvement skills.; Fluency in English, both written and spoken.; EU citizenship is mandatory.; Deep hands-on experience with configuration management tools, especially Puppet.; Stay up to date with technology versions and understand upgrade lifecycle importance.; Security-first mindset and proactively contribute to hardening infrastructure.; Can work independently and guide other teams in best practices.; Detail-oriented, methodical, and committed to operational excellence.
