About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and manage security operations supporting a classified intelligence program and government customer
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security policies, procedures, and processes
  • Oversee personnel security activities, including clearances, access eligibility, indoctrination, briefings, debriefings, reporting, and security education
  • Manage physical security requirements for classified workspaces, controlled areas, secure facilities, and sensitive program activities
  • Oversee protection, handling, storage, transmission, and disposition of classified and sensitive information and materials
  • Ensure compliance with federal security requirements, customer policies, security directives, and program procedures
  • Serve as primary security point of contact for program leadership, government security representatives, facility personnel, and stakeholders
  • Conduct security assessments, reviews, inspections, and risk analyses; identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation measures
  • Manage security incidents, violations, and investigations
  • Maintain security records, documentation, access rosters, training records, and compliance documentation
  • Coordinate security briefings, training, awareness programs, and recurring security education
  • Support security audits, inspections, assessments, and government reviews, including corrective-action plans
  • Develop and maintain security continuity and contingency procedures
  • Monitor changes to security policies and requirements and translate them into program procedures
  • Lead and mentor security personnel while establishing priorities, expectations, and accountability
  • Partner with program, facilities, information technology, human resources, and government stakeholders to resolve security issues
  • Promote a strong security culture while balancing mission requirements and protection of sensitive information

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience in security management, security operations, personnel security, physical security, classified program security, or a related field
  • Experience managing security operations within a government, intelligence, defense, or highly regulated environment
  • Knowledge of classified information protection, personnel security, physical security, and security compliance practices
  • Experience interpreting and implementing government security requirements and customer-specific security procedures
  • Experience leading security teams, programs, or functions with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing sensitive documentation and compliance requirements
  • Top Secret SCI clearance with CI polygraph
